 Elwood Recruitment currently has an opportunity available for a CNC Programmer and Operator to work for one of our clients based in the Aldridge area, our client is one of the UK’s leading suppliers of engineering plastics, electrical insulation and flexible gasket sealing products.

We have an immediate start available for an experienced CNC Programmer:

Shift times/days: Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 17.30pm

Pay Rate: This is dependent on experience £13 to £18ph is the pay rate range

Contract Type: Temp to Permanent opportunity

The role will include:

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• To program and operate CNC milling machines
• Work to technical drawings to produce desired components
• Work to tight tolerances and self-inspect completed jobs
• Prove out programs at the machines ensuring the highest quality at all times
• Prepare the appropriate machine for production in accordance with the works order

Ideal requirements for the role:

• You must have 2-3 years previous machine/workshop experience in an Engineering environment is essential - Please do not apply for this role if you do not have the necessary experience as we will be unable to move forward with your application
• Able to work using own initiative.
• Good co-ordination skills, concentration levels and organisational skills are required.
• Speed, efficiency, and the ability to work well under pressure.
• Lathe experience is desirable
• Must have own safety boots and Hi-Vis (this can be provided if required)
• Must be able to write programs from scratch as well as edit
• Milling experience is essential
