CNC PROGRAMMER & OPERATOR - EXPERIENCED

Elwood Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced CNC Programmer and Operator to work for one of our clients based in the Brownhills area, our client specialises in bespoke steel fabrication services across the UK.

We have an immediate start available for a CNC Programmer & Operator

Shifts/Hours: Mon - Thurs 07.00 - 16.00 and Friday 7.00-13.00

Pay Rate: £14-£15ph

Contract Type: Temp to Permanent opportunity for the right candidate

The role will include:

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• To program and operate CNC milling machines
• Work to technical drawings to produce desired components
• Work to tight tolerances and self-inspect completed jobs
• Prove out programs at the machines ensuring the highest quality at all times
• Prepare the appropriate machine for production in accordance with the works order

Ideal requirements for the role:

• You must have 2-3 years previous machine/workshop experience in an Engineering environment is essential.
• Able to work using own initiative.
• Good co-ordination skills, concentration levels and organisational skills are required.
• Speed, efficiency, and the ability to work well under pressure.
• Must have own safety boots and Hi-Vis (this can be provided if required)
• Must be able to write programs from scratch as well as edit
• Must have Lathe experience using Fanuc and/or Siemens.
• Must have HAS experience
